Professor Marzio Sorlini MSc. Eng, PhD- Chief Operating Officer and Director

 

Co-founder of PharmaExceed, Mr Marzio Sorlini, since 2010, has worked closely with Dr. Torre to develop exosome technology. Mr. Sorlini corporate experience includes being instrumental in establishing PharmaExceed S.r.l.. He has more than 10 years of experience in byotechnolgy and translational research and management. Marzio Sorlini graduated in Management Engineering at Politecnico di Milano with major in strategy and innovation management, he got his doctorate at University of Parma in Industrial Engineering. Since 2006 he is partner of an Italian consulting company where he manages research and innovation projects on novel biotech products and technologies, advanced manufacturing solutions and business model development. He’s also senior teacher & researcher at SUPSI (University of Applied Sciences of Southern Switzerland) where he manages European research projects and teaches economy, lean manufacturing, and innovation management in bachelor and master engineering classes.

Over the years he has been involved in more than 30 research projects with private companies, research institutes, universities and public authorities, usually funded within regional, national and international financing frameworks such as the 6th and 7th European Framework Programmes, Horizon 2020, Eureka, Interreg, Central Europe, LIFE+, Swiss KTI programme, and Lombardy Region funds. He usually masters the initial conceptualization steps, when the project concept is designed, he applies for funding, and he finally manages the whole initiative until the final delivery of results. These projects resulted into prototypes, software solutions, knowledge repositories and several other deliverables, as shown also in three patent applications:
